Matt Newburg is an associate with the Firm.  He is admitted to appear before all Michigan state and federal courts.  He gradated from The University of Dayton (B.A., 2004) and received his J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2008.

Prior to joining the Firm, Matt worked at the Eaton County Prosecutors Office  where he gained valuable courtroom experience.  While at the Eaton County Prosecutors Office Matt successfully conducted Preliminary Examinations, Jury Trials, and argued both Circuit Court and District Court Motions.  He now utilizes those skills in his litigation practice.  Matt has represented felony and misdemeanor criminal defendants, a number of corporations in various collection matters, and represented corporations and individuals in a variety of civil litigation matters.

Matt provides legal services in the areas of commercial litigation, civil litigation, drain and municipal law, and criminal law.  He lives in Lansing with his wife, Shanna, and their family.
