Numerous individuals have chastized the Michgian Medical Marihuana Act ("MMMA") as "confusing" or full of "gray areas" yet to those who have spent time reading and understanding the law, it is clear the law is not as confusing as once thought. The Law does not address commercial entities but the MMMA clearly lays out the rights of the patient, caregiver, and a person assisting in the use or administration of medical marihuana. The legality of the business entity will depend on the actitivies permitted under the MMMA and those activities being conducted in the business. While the May 9, 2010 Lansing City Pulse article encourages the legislature to "clear up the law", an initiated law can only be amended with 3/4 vote of each house in the legislature. |
