On August 20, Michael Woodworth of The Hubbard Law Firm attended a meeting of law enforcement representatives, governmental officials and municipal attorneys to address issues presented by Michigan's Medical Marihuana Act. "Those involved in law enforcement are recognizing the importance of land use regulations in effectively dealing with the legalization of medical marihuana," Woodworth explained. "And, using zoning powers to control the time, place and intensity of activities permitted under the new law is essential to advance community goals. The Hubbard Law Firm works with stakeholders on a regular basis to develop understandable, practical and enforceable zoning ordinances." The August 20th meeting was hosted by Ingham County Prosecuting Attorney Stuart Dunnings, Eaton County Prosecuting Attorney Jeffrey Sauter and Clinton County Prosecuting Attorney Charles Sherman.
