Cheryl is an associate member of the State Bar of Michigan and served as the Chair of the State Bar of Michigan Paralegal/Legal Assistant Section during 2007-2008. She is currently an elected member of the Section Council, and serves as the Chair of the Section's Scholarship Committee and Annual Day of Education Committee. Cheryl has been a guest speaker at the State Bar of Michigan's Annual Meeting (2008), and has presented to Lansing Community College paralegal classes, as well as at other functions in Michigan and Florida. In addition to ongoing legal education, Cheryl has specialized training including courses from the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality in Grant Writing and Administration (2001, 2002, 2004) and from the Michigan State University Institute of Watershed Training (2002). She served as a member and fundraiser with the St. Johns City Park "Fantasy Forest" Playground Committee (1999-2000), is active with the St. Johns High School Band Boosters (2008-present), and routinely serves as a volunteer for various school and community events. Cheryl specializes in environmental, municipal law and drain law, in addition to general litigation. She lives in St. Johns with her husband, Ruben, and their family. Affiliations:
